1. DATA PROTECTION RESPONSIBLES

The International Conference on Inclusive Insurance (ICII) 2025 will be hosted by Federación Ecuatoriana de Empresas de Seguros – FEDESEG (Co-host) supported by the Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network.

The Munich Re Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Munich, Germany. (Munich Re Foundation, Königinstr. 107, 80802 Muenchen, Germany).

FEDESEG is a nonprofit organization based in Quito-Ecuador.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

During the registration process to the ICII 2025 will request the following personal data:

  • Contact Information: First name and last name, valid email address, company, position and industry, country.
  • Registration information: Details provided during registration for the Conference, including payment information.
  • Event Participation Data: Information regarding your attendance, participation in sessions, and feedback.
  • Co-host shall also record videos and/or take pictures of the ICII 2025. Co-host shall process personal data collected by Co-host in relation to the processing of personal data, for any of the purposes described in the next section.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We may use your information for the following purposes:

  • Creation and publication (among participants of ICII 2025 and members/employees/associates of Co-host and the Munich Re Foundation and suppliers working for the ICII 2025) of a database with the participants delegate profiles, which includes de personal data described in the first bullet of this policy.
  • Publication of photos and videos recorded during the event or workshop on the conference website and websites of co-organizers (Munich Re Foundation) or other partners, associates and sponsors, on social media, within newsletters or in other publications related to the ICII 2025 such as the conference report, press and other media; and,
  • Information regarding the event, conference or workshop at hand, including practical information, slides and related documentation and followup information.
  • We may use your personal information for the following purposes:
  • To process your registration and manage your attendance at the Conference.
  • To communicate important information regarding the Conference, including updates and changes.
  • To provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • To analyze attendance patterns and improve future events.
  • To send promotional materials about the Conference and related events, if you have opted to receive such communications.

By the sole act of registration and by providing the Co-host with your personal data, you give the Co-host your express agreement to use the transmitted personal data for the abovementioned purposes.

Your data shall be processed and retained for at least 1 year after the date of the ICII 2025. Upon request sent by email to the Co-host (add email), you can access and rectify the personal data relating to you.

If, at any time, you are of the opinion that the Co-host does not respect your privacy, please inform the Co-host by e-mail through a written communication addressed to the following e-mail: daniel.dominguez@acose.ec. The Co-host shall do everything to identify and solve the problem.

4. DATA SECURITY

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request corrections to any inaccuracies in your personal information.
  • Withdraw your consent for us to use your personal information at any time.
  • Request the deletion of your personal information, subject to legal obligations.

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
